PROGRAMS AND RESOURCES

Capital Access Hub

The Capital Access Hub is a collaborative effort between Bridging Virginia and The Metropolitan Business League. The Hub aims to close the capital access gap for historically marginalized and underinvested small businesses through a combination of early-stage capacity building, technical assistance for capital access, and network growth.

Entrepreneurial Empowerment Program

The Entrepreneurial Empowerment Program (EEP) began in 2022 with a collaborative partnership between Culinary Concepts AB, Hatch!, Bridging Virginia, and Capital One. Together these partners offer local culinary entrepreneurs workforce development, training, and opportunities for financial support.

Virginia CDFI Coalition

Bridging Virginia is a proud member and partner of the Virginia CDFI Coalition. The Coalition seeks to offer a collective voice to address issues concerning the unmet financial needs of Virginia communities by advocating for greater awareness of CDFI activities and operations and by supporting the goals of its member organizations with peer support and education. Members of Bridging Virginia leadership also serve on the Coalition Board of Directors.

1717 Collective

The 1717 Collective is a group of nonprofit organizations that support founders, entrepreneurs, and community members as they navigate the ups and downs of small business ownership. In October 2024, the Collective hired the region’s first Director of Entrepreneurial Ecosystems to connect business support efforts and make it easier for entrepreneurs to build their network of champions and navigate available resources. This work is open to anyone and everyone in the Chesterfield, Hanover, Henrico, and Richmond who is passionate about supporting small business owners, investing in our main streets, and boosting economic mobility as a region.

This initiative is made possible through the generous support of Capital One, Altria, and the Community Foundation for a Greater Richmond.
